Think 60’s era "Playboy After Dark” variety show updated to Michel Gondry-like aesthetics and exclusive behind-the-scenes interviews with today’s hottest bands.
Wilcox Sessions is mom and pop produced. In each episode, we invite buzzed-about artists into our home to take off their shoes and play live in an exclusive and heady rock’n’roll cocktail party complete with booze and dinner.
In between two incredible live music performances, the viewer is given intimate fly-on-the-wall access into a house party, vicariously experiencing the shindig through vérité portraits and interviews with the musicians as they drink, eat and get loose.
Think about it. You're hanging with rapper J. Cole at a house party upstairs on the couch, eating sushi and drinking sake, while downstairs the band and film crew are on a set break. Who knows what he’ll say and do? And later he blows your mind as you watch him perform live in the intimate setting of our living room.
